I also liked the fact that a whole ream of paper can fit into the paper tray, and there are no long trays hanging out. I haven't done enough printing yet to exhaust the small toner cartridge that came with it, but replacement toner cartridges are relatively inexpensive and easy to change out. The scanner feature is easy to use, and the scans are excellent. The Brother (inexpensive) just reverses a stepper motor and does so quietly. This allows both iMac to have access to the Borther printer, but the primary Mac has to be ON or the 2nd iMac has no access. I never could get an independent print queue set up on the second iMac, but had to enable the SHARE feature on the first iMac.
